Bio - Carlos Larios
I have been a resident of Cypress Forest Lakes since 2016 and have served on the Architectural Review Committee for several years. I am a proud husband and the doting father of three. A graduate of University of Houston – Downtown and Paralegal Certification from Rice University, I have been employed by the Houston Independent School District since 2014 and my current title is Program Manager – I implement programming at six schools. A lot of my work skills will translate to our HOA Board; I have solid administrative and leadership skills, I am a strategic planner, and I am always motivated to be a problem solver and become part of the solution. Some of you may have come to my house in the aftermath of Harvey; we were extremely fortunate not to have flooded, but we were so glad to be able to support the rest of the neighborhood by opening up our home to host meals that were brought in by outside volunteers. I am a happy community organizer and a friendly neighbor and I would be honored to serve our neighborhood on the HOA Board.
Bio – Deb Kirsch
I have lived in Cypress Forest Lakes since December 2010. I have not served on the board previously, but am interested in serving now. I am a native Houstonian and have lived in Spring since I was 9 years old (except for college and two overseas assignments). I would like to ensure that our community maintains our standards and remains the beautiful, family-oriented, friendly place as it was designed. Just like in my personal life, I believe the subdivision should be fiscally sound with sufficient rainy-day funds to successfully maintain the subdivision in a manner consistent with the home values. In order for this to occur, homeowner’s concerns and issues need to be addressed timely and in a professional and courteous manner. I work full-time in project management for a large oil and gas company, and I have been with that same company for over 20 years. I have excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. I am loyal, persistent, and willing to work hard. I think these skills, along with my professional experience, will serve CFL well if I am elected. I am very happy and proud to live in this neighborhood and desire to keep it as a subdivision that all of the homeowners continue, and potential new residents would feel proud and excited, to call home.
Bio - Rodney Williams
I have lived in Cypress Forest Lakes since March 2013 and have served on the Architectural Review Committee for many years. I have volunteered in the community for various projects. I know personally, and get along with many of my neighbors. I have eaten at many of their homes, and they have eaten a mine. I get along well with others, I’m a team player, a self-starter, disciplined, hardworking, task oriented, and believe in accountability. I enjoy living in this community and care deeply about maintaining it for years to come. My interest in serving on the board is to represent the interest of the residents and maintaining very high standards consistent with our bylaws. I believe that if major changes are necessary to our bylaws, we should involve the residents before making those changes. I have lived in the Houston area twice, 1978 – 1984 when I left to go serve in the US Navy and returned to Houston in 1994. My wife Katrina and I both work in the Banking and Financial service industry for over 25 years, each. She is a Market Manager with a worldwide bank, and I am a Financial Advisor with a separate worldwide bank. I spent several years managing 40+ locations and 200+ employees. We have 5 kids, 3 grand kids, enjoy traveling, live music, fishing, boating, outdoors, entertaining friends, family, and neighbors. If elected I promise to serve the interest of the residents.
